The hood opening tool was designed by famed Corvette plant action center engineer Gordon Killebrew specifically for the C4 Corvette hood.
It used to be a major operation to open a late model hood if the cable breaks. Now all you need to do is open the driver's door, insert this tool at the hinge area, twist, and up pops the hood. Every Corvette owner and shop should have one of these. Comes with instructions.
