The frame including all bows, hinges, and braces on all convertibles, regardless of fabric color, is painted semi-gloss black. The fit between the rear bow and deck lid matches the deck contour; however, small gaps should be considered normal.
NOTE: 1963 through early 1965 (VIN unknown) no.1 top bows were 3/8" round in section. 1965-67 no.1 top bows were 5/16" rectangular in section. The no.1 bar is the one directly behind the front header, above the driver's head. This is the major difference in the 1963-67 model years.
