A chronic problem with 63-77 Corvettes is fracturing of the rear spring mounting pad that is part of the rear end cover. If you have this problem or want to prevent it from occurring, add one of our heavy-duty rear end covers. This unit is made ofhigh quality cast iron and has extra strength in the spring pad area. No modifications to the existing rear-end case or rear spring are required, and our heavy-duty rear end cover is guaranteed.
Note: Spring mount pad width on rear end cover is 2-1/4".
