The g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS is BFGoodrich's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for sports car, sporty coupe, performance sedan and modern muscle car driving enthusiasts. Engineered to improve wet handling, wet braking and snow traction over its predecessor, the g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS is designed to (A)ccelerate faster, (B)rake shorter and provide more (C)ontrol in all seasons to deliver BFG's ABCs of Ultra High Performance All-Season driving, even in light snow.
Featuring the proven tread pattern of its predecessor, the g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS utilizes an updated tread compound designed to increase traction levels in wet and snow, without sacrificing dry traction or treadlife. The tire features squared off shoulders and wraparound tread elements for block rigidity that help inspire confident dry handling. Hydroplaning resistance is aided by an aggressive V-shaped directional pattern, with angled lateral and longitudinal grooves to combine dry, wet and wintertime traction with satisfying longevity.
The g-Force Comp-2 A/S PLUS incorporates BFGoodrich's Performance Racing Core construction. This includes their Equal TEnsion Containment System (ETEC System) of spirally wrapped nylon above twin steel belts, optimizing the tire's contact patch. G-Control Sidewall inserts help blend ride comfort with responsive handling.
BFGoodrich, founded by Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich in 1870 in Akron, Ohio, was among the first rubber tire manufacturers in the United States. Initially producing rubberized hoses and belts, the company expanded into pneumatic bicycle tires and, by 1896, became the first U.S. manufacturer of pneumatic automobile tires.
Throughout its history, BFGoodrich has been at the forefront of tire innovation. In 1947, it introduced the first tubeless tire in the U.S., enhancing vehicle performance and safety. By 1965, the company produced the nation's first radial tires, offering longer tread life and improved ride comfort. BFGoodrich also developed an early version of the run-flat tire in 1967, allowing vehicles to continue driving despite a puncture.
The brand's commitment to performance is evident in its motorsport achievements. BFGoodrich tires have been used in various competitions, including the Indianapolis 500, Baja 1000, and Paris-Dakar Rally, securing numerous victories and solidifying its reputation in the racing community.
